From the frow at Bora Aksu AW16 – LFW

My first show at LFW this season was Bora Aksu. The collection was an ode to folk romanticism, and the story of Grand Duchess Olga of Russia. ‘Contrasting opulence with simplicity,’ as the show notes read, this collection spoke of a new femininity, mixing hard and soft textures simultaneously. The models or ‘Amish dolls,’ on the catwalk referenced romantic simplicity and the clothes they wore were enchanting and modest at the same time.
