A mules moment

While SS16’s offering of haute slippers gave way to a reimagining of flat shoes, it was the sauntering high-heel mules that were full of splendour on the catwalk. They were rich in embellishment at shows such as Gucci, and statement but minimal at Jenny Packham – where models wore Christian Louboutin mules – presenting a fresh approach to the sought-after backless shoe. And on a hunt to find mules for the office, I came up with an edited selection of my favourites. It might be that you have an important meeting coming up at work, or perhaps, you just want to dress your feet with ease, while looking effortlessly smart. Whatever the occasion, these mules will take you gracefully from day to night.
